41|40 Arts & Cultural District
Sixth Street Arts Festival

The 41|40 Arts & Cultural District Sixth Street Arts Festival was established in 2022, an outcome of the Consortium's Strategic Plan. The festival represents the effort to increase tourism to the Arts & Cultural District and celebrate the arts and cultural assets located within the boundaries of the district.
The anchor for the festival has been an Artist Market. Visual Artists in Indiana and Illinois may apply to be a part of the market by submitting images of their work to be juried. The Artist Market has grown each year and offers a wide range of original, fine arts for sale. In 2025 Literary Artists were added into the market. Authors may submit book(s) they have written and have been published. Those authors whose books are accepted are able to sell them at the festival.

Additionally, a number of arts & cultural organizations located in the 41|40 Arts & Cultural District offer a Children's Creative Area--hands on creative activities that can be enjoyed by youth attending the festival.

Each year, musical performances are scheduled throughout the day on the Festival Stage, helping to create an atmosphere of fun and showcasing some great home-grown talent as well as some of Terre Haute's gifted professional musicians.
